Rhododendron roseum (Loisel.) Rehder, also known by the synonym Rhododendron prinophyllum and common name early azalea, is a species of rhododendron. It is native to the eastern and southern United States. This plant is a deciduous shrub. It typically grows to a height of 4 to 8 feet, and it rarely grows as tall as 15 feet. It produces pink flowers.
