About Rhododendron nakaharae Hayata

Rhododendron nakaharae, also called 那克哈杜鹃, is a species of rhododendron. This species is native to northern Taiwan, and grows at altitudes between 700 and 1,000 meters, which equals 2,300 to 3,300 feet. It is a creeping, prostrate evergreen shrub that reaches 60 centimeters, or 24 inches, in height. Its leaves range in shape from ovate to oblong, or from oblanceolate to broad-elliptic, and measure 0.6–1.2 cm long by 0.5–1.2 cm wide. The flowers it produces are red.
