About Rhodanthe chlorocephala (Turcz.) Paul G.Wilson
Rhodanthe chlorocephala is a small annual plant. It produces single, terminal flowers that measure around 10–60 mm (0.39–2.36 in) in diameter, borne on stems roughly 30 cm (12 in) long. Its florets are greenish or yellow, and it has papery bracts in shades of pink, yellow, cream, or white. The flower buds have green outer bracts. The plant's leaves are linear in shape, blue-green in color, hairless, and 1–2 cm (0.39–0.79 in) long. Leaves are borne on stems that grow from the base of the plant. Flowering mostly occurs between June and November. This species, commonly called pink and white everlasting, grows in eucalypt woodland, wet areas, and around salt lakes, in sand, clay, and loam soils. It is found in Western Australia and South Australia.
