About Rhodamnia argentea Benth.

Rhodamnia argentea Benth. is a mid-sized tree that can grow up to 30 metres tall, with a maximum stem diameter of 85 centimetres. Its trunk is typically straight and tall, and is often somewhat fluted or buttressed at the base. The bark is papery and coloured brown or grey; larger trees develop vertical cracks and fissures on their bark. Small branches are brown, and both their tips and new growth shoots are white or silvery. Leaf shapes vary between ovate, lanceolate, elliptic, and oval; leaves measure 4 to 13 cm long and 2.5 to 6 cm wide. Oil dots on the leaves are either rarely visible or completely invisible. The leaves appear three-veined, have a silvery white underside, and a triangular leaf base.
