Rhionaeschna variegata is a species of dragonfly that belongs to the family Aeshnidae. This species is found in South America, specifically along the entire length of the Andes region in Argentina and across much of Chile. It is the southernmost odonate species known to exist worldwide, and it is the only odonate species found on Tierra del Fuego. On the IUCN Red List, Rhionaeschna variegata is classified as a least-concern species.
