Its geographic range includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, China (specifically Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hong Kong, Sichuan, and Yunnan), India (specifically Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Tripura), Myanmar, Nepal, and northern Vietnam. Its type locality is Tengyueh, Yunnan Province, China, located at 25°01'N, 98°30'E, at an elevation of 5500 feet.
