Retanilla trinervia (with the full scientific name Retanilla trinervia (Miers ex Gillies & Hook.) Hook. & Arn.) is an actinorhizal plant species belonging to the family Rhamnaceae. This dicotyledonous plant grows as a shrub or small tree. R. trinervia is distinguished by its ability to fix nitrogen. This species grows primarily in near-coastal forests and arid shrubland in Chile. Documented populations are located in the mountains of central Chile, including within La Campana National Park, where it grows alongside Acacia caven and Jubaea chilensis, as well as in other nearby areas of central Chile.
