Raukaua anomalus (Hook.) A.D.Mitch., Frodin & Heads is a shrub species native to New Zealand. It occurs across the whole of New Zealand, growing in shrub and forest habitats ranging from lowland to montane elevations. This species reaches up to 3 metres in height, and bears small leaves 1–3 centimetres long that grow in an alternating arrangement along densely divaricating branches. From November through January, Raukaua anomalus produces tiny green-white flowers along its branches. After flowering, the plant develops small white berries that measure 5 mm across and bear purple markings.
