About Raoulia glabra Hook.fil.
Raoulia glabra Hook.fil. is a creeping, non-ascending shrub that forms dense vegetative mats of small green leaves that spread along the ground. Its flowers are either white or yellow, and both its leaves and achenes are glabrous (smooth and hairless). This species is widely distributed across both the North and South Islands of New Zealand, where it grows in temperate zones and is not considered threatened. Unlike most other Raoulia species, Raoulia glabra can flower as late as March in some locations. Its flowers are known to be visited by Lycaena boldenarum and tachinid flies.
