About Rabelera holostea (L.) M.T.Sharples & E.A.Tripp
Greater stitchwort (scientific name Rabelera holostea (L.) M.T.Sharples & E.A.Tripp) can reach a maximum height of 60 cm (24 in), and typically has roughly four-angled stems. Its leaves are long, narrow, lanceolate, greyish green, hairless, sessile, arranged in opposite pairs, and decussate, meaning successive pairs of leaves grow at right angles to each other. The species produces white flowers that measure 2–3 cm (0.79–1.18 in) across. Each flower has five petals, each of which is split to approximately half the petal’s total length. Its sepals are much shorter than the petals.
