Quercus welshii R.A.Denham, commonly called wavy leaf oak, shinnery oak, or Tucker oak, is a North American shrub species belonging to the beech family. It grows in the Colorado Plateau and Canyonlands region of the southwestern United States. This species occurs in sand desert shrub communities, and in the sandy soils of blackbrush scrub and pinyon–juniper woodland communities. It can be found in Arizona, Utah, western Colorado, and northwestern New Mexico.
