About Quercus myrsinifolia Blume

Quercus myrsinifolia Blume is an evergreen oak tree that reaches up to 20 metres (66 ft) in height. Its leaves measure 60โ€“110 mm long by 18โ€“40 mm wide, have finely serrated margins, and grow from a 10โ€“25 mm long petiole. This species produces glabrous acorns that are ovoid to ellipsoid in shape, measuring 14โ€“25 mm long by 10โ€“15 mm wide, with a rounded apex. The flat acorn scar is approximately 6 mm in diameter. The cupules that hold each acorn measure 5โ€“8 mm tall by 10โ€“18 mm wide, enclose between one third and one half of the acorn, and have bracts that are not fused together at the apex.
