Quercus macranthera, commonly known as the Caucasian oak or Persian oak, is a deciduous tree species. It is native to Western Asia, specifically northern Iran, Turkey, and the Caucasus region of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. This species is occasionally cultivated as an ornamental tree in Europe. Mature individuals can grow up to 30 metres (98 feet) tall, and it is classified in section Quercus.
