About Quercus longinux Hayata

Quercus longinux Hayata is an uncommon tree species belonging to the beech family Fagaceae, native to Asia. This species has only ever been found growing in Taiwan. It is classified within the genus Quercus, placed in subgenus Cerris and section Cyclobalanopsis. It is a tree, its leaves can reach a maximum length of 8 cm. Its acorns grow up to 12 mm long, and are narrower than the acorns of most other species in the same subgenus.
