About Quercus inopina Ashe

Quercus inopina Ashe, commonly called the sandhill oak, is an uncommon North American oak shrub species. It has only been documented growing in Florida, a state in the southeastern United States. It is a branching shrub that can reach up to 5 meters (17 feet) in height. Its bark is gray, and its twigs are purplish brown. Its leaves are broad, growing up to 85 millimeters (3 and 3/8 inches) long. The leaves are usually hairless, and do not have teeth or lobes along their edges.
