About Pyrola asarifolia Michx.

Pyrola asarifolia Michx., commonly called liverleaf wintergreen, bog wintergreen, or pink wintergreen, is a plant species in the genus Pyrola native to western North America. It grows primarily on forest margins at mid latitude in the Pacific Northwest and northern California. It gets its common name 'wintergreen' because its leaves stay green throughout the winter. In cultivation, its very fine, dust-like seeds are difficult to germinate.
