Pyrodes nitidus is a colorful beetle found in parts of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay that grows 30–40 mm long.
Pyrodes nitidus can reach a body length of 30–40 millimetres, which equals 1.2–1.6 inches. Its basic body coloration is metallic blue-green or purple-green. The pronotum and elytra of this beetle are densely punctured, and it has a large ridge on each side of its thorax. This species can be found in Argentina, south-eastern Brazil, and Paraguay.
