Pyrgotis plagiatana (Walker, 1863) is a species of moth belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is found in New Zealand, and has an approximate wingspan of 18 mm.
Pyrgotis plagiatana is a variable species that differs greatly in the intensity of its colouring. Its forewings are whitish and suffused with pale ochreous, growing darker towards the inner margin. Its hindwings are whitish, with a faint ochreous tinge at the apex, and marked with grey spots.
The larvae of Pyrgotis plagiatana are polyphagous, and have been recorded feeding on a wide range of host plants. These hosts include Carmichaelia species, Coriaria arborea, Fuchsia excorticata, Veronica elliptica, Veronica stricta, Veronica subalpina, Melicope simplex, Metrosideros species, Ozothamnus leptophyllus, Pittosporum tenuifolium, Tupeia antarctica, Pinus radiata, and Ulex europaeus.
