Pyrausta nicalis is a moth species that belongs to the Crambidae family. It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1878. This moth is found in North America, with recorded ranges extending from Quebec west to British Columbia, and south to Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and California. The wingspan of adult Pyrausta nicalis measures 20 to 23 millimeters. Adult moths are active in flight from late May through mid-August. The larvae of this species are thought to feed on plants belonging to the Mentha genus.
