Pyrausta falcatalis is a moth species belonging to the family Crambidae. Its distribution includes France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, and Turkey, and it has also been recorded in China. This moth has a wingspan of 15 to 20 millimeters. In western Europe, adult Pyrausta falcatalis are active in June and August, and produce one generation each year. The larvae of this species have been recorded feeding on Salvia glutinosa.
