Pyrausta augustalis Grote is a moth species that belongs to the Crambidae family. This species was first described by Cajetan Felder, Rudolf Felder, and Alois Friedrich Rogenhofer in 1875. Its known distribution extends from Texas in the United States, through Mexico, and southward into Central America. The wingspan of adult individuals of this species is approximately 18 millimeters. Recorded flight periods for adult moths include March, June to July, and November.
