Pygarctia flavidorsalis is a species of moth belonging to the family Erebidae. This species was first described by William Barnes and James Halliday McDunnough in 1913. It can be found in the United States, specifically in the states of Arizona and Texas, with an additional recorded sighting in Oklahoma. The wingspan of this moth reaches approximately 30 mm for males and 32 mm for females. The wings and thorax of the adult moth are white, while the head, abdomen, and femora are orange. Adult Pygarctia flavidorsalis have been recorded flying in the months of May, July, and October.
