About Pultenaea weindorferi Reader

Pultenaea weindorferi is a slender, erect shrub that typically grows up to 2 metres (6 feet 7 inches) tall, and has hairless (glabrous) stems. Its leaves are linear to narrow egg-shaped, with the narrower end positioned toward the base. Each leaf measures 6โ€“15 mm (0.24โ€“0.59 in) long and 0.75โ€“1.5 mm (0.030โ€“0.059 in) wide, with 3โ€“4 mm (0.12โ€“0.16 in) long stipules at the base. The flowers are arranged in clusters of more than six at the ends of branches, with floral leaves that have enlarged stipules at the cluster base. The sepals are 5โ€“6 mm (0.20โ€“0.24 in) long, with bracteoles attached to the side of the sepal tube. The standard petal is 6โ€“7 mm (0.24โ€“0.28 in) long, and the ovary is usually glabrous. Flowering takes place from October to November. This species, commonly known as swamp bush-pea, grows in swamps and moist locations at scattered sites in southern Victoria, including areas near Tonimbuk, Daylesford, and Kinglake.
