About Pultenaea maritima de Kok

Pultenaea maritima de Kok is a prostrate, mat-forming shrub with softly-hairy stems. Its leaves are arranged alternately along the stems, and are elliptic, oblong, or spatula-shaped. They measure 3.5โ€“5 mm (0.14โ€“0.20 in) long and 1.8โ€“2.8 mm (0.071โ€“0.110 in) wide, with 1.1โ€“2 mm (0.043โ€“0.079 in) long stipules at the base, and have downward-curved edges. The flowers are arranged in groups near the ends of branchlets, and are 6.5โ€“10 mm (0.26โ€“0.39 in) long, with each flower growing on a pedicel about 0.5 mm (0.020 in) long. The sepals are hairy, 3.8โ€“5 mm (0.15โ€“0.20 in) long, and have 3.0โ€“3.3 mm (0.12โ€“0.13 in) long hairy bracteoles at the base of the sepal tube. Flowering occurs mainly from August to March, and the fruit is a pod about 5 mm (0.20 in) long. This coastal bush-pea grows in grassland, shrubland and heath on exposed coastal headlands, ranging from south-eastern Queensland to Newcastle in New South Wales.
