Psilocybe subtropicalis Guzmán is a mushroom species that belongs to the family Hymenogastraceae. This mushroom contains the psychoactive compound psilocybin. It is found in Mexico, and was formally described as a species new to science in 1995 by Gastón Guzmán, a mycologist and an authority on the genus Psilocybe.
