About Pseudohermenias hercyniana (Bechstein & Scharfenberg, 1804)
Pseudohermenias abietana is a species of moth that belongs to the family Tortricidae. This moth is distributed across an area ranging from Fennoscandia and northern Russia in the north to the Pyrenees, Sardinia and Italy in the south, and spanning from France in the west to Romania in the east. The wingspan of adult Pseudohermenias abietana measures between 14 and 18 mm. Adults of this species are active from May to July, with one new generation produced each year. The larvae of Pseudohermenias abietana feed on species of Abies alba and Picea abies, and they mine the needles of their host plants.
