About Pseudognaphalium californicum (DC.) Anderb.

Scientific name: Pseudognaphalium californicum (DC.) Anderb.

Pseudognaphalium californicum is an annual or biennial herb that produces a branching stem that grows 20 to 80 centimeters tall. The branches of the stem hold linear to somewhat lance-shaped leaves that measure 2 to 20 centimeters in length. The green above-ground plant tissue is glandular, scented, and the leaves give off a distinctive citrus aroma. The inflorescence is a wide cluster of flower heads; each flower head is wrapped in an involucre made up of rows of bright white phyllaries.
