This species occurs in northern Southern Africa.

Specific Country Distribution

Its confirmed distribution includes northern KwaZulu-Natal, extending north through Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Gauteng, North West, Limpopo, and Eswatini, and also ranges across eastern and northern Botswana, northern Namibia, Angola, and Zambia.

Reproduction

This oviparous snake lays between 4 and 10 eggs during the summer.

Hatchling Size

Hatchlings measure approximately 20 cm long when they emerge.
