About Prunus myrtifolia (L.) Urb.

Prunus myrtifolia (L.) Urb. is a spineless evergreen tree that reaches up to 12 metres (40 feet) in height. It does not form clumps, nor do its structures have hairs. Its flowers are white, arranged in elongated clusters that can hold up to 30 flowers. The fruit is dark purple, appearing almost black, and has a spherical or egg-shaped form. This species is native to Florida in the southeastern United States, southern Mexico, Central America, South America, and the West Indies.
