Progonia kurosawai is a moth species that belongs to the family Noctuidae. It was first formally described by Owada in 1987. This species has been recorded in Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Nepal, Myanmar, Borneo, and Sulawesi. Its forewings are narrow and brownish, with a darker colored border. The reniform spot on the forewings has a kidney shape. The forewings also have dark, very fine crenulate antemedial and postmedial lines. Its hindwings are pale and straw-colored, with a darker dull brown border.
