About Prasinocyma rhodocosma Meyrick, 1888
Prasinocyma rhodocosma, commonly known as the northern emerald, is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. This species was first formally described by Edward Meyrick in 1888. It is found in Australia, where its range covers northern Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, and New South Wales. Adult individuals of this species have a wingspan of approximately 30 mm. The larvae of Prasinocyma rhodocosma feed on the young shoots and leaves of Eucalyptus plants.
