Potentilla yadonii is a perennial herb. It grows a gray-green mat of hairy, glandular, erect leaves around a caudex. Each individual leaf can reach up to 20 centimeters in length, and is composed of several pairs of leaflets that range from wedge-shaped to rounded in shape, with tips that are lobed to deeply notched. The inflorescence is an open cluster of 5 to 10 flowers that sits at the top of a tall, erect stalk. Each flower has five pointed green sepals and five white petals.
