About Potentilla nitida L.

Potentilla nitida, commonly known as the pink cinquefoil, is a species of cinquefoil belonging to the Rosaceae family. It is endemic to the Alps, where it grows at elevations up to 3,200 metres (10,500 ft). This plant reaches 5 centimetres (2.0 in) in height, and spreads 15–30 centimetres (5.9–11.8 in) wide. Its flowers are borne in pairs, and measure 2–2.5 centimetres (0.79–0.98 in) across.
