About Potentilla lycopodioides (A.Gray) Baill. ex S.Watson
Potentilla lycopodioides is a perennial herb that grows in the crevices of mountain rock ledges and in wet high-elevation meadows. It forms a rosette of flat to cylindrical leaves that can reach up to 15 centimeters in length; each leaf is made up of many tiny, lobed leaflets. The stems can grow either erect or drooping, reaching up to 30 centimeters long, and each stem bears a clustered inflorescence of flowers. Each individual flower has hairy, greenish triangular sepals and much larger bright yellow oval-shaped petals. The center of the flower usually contains five stamens and several pistils.
