About Potentilla drummondii Lehm.
Potentilla drummondii Lehm. is a species of flowering plant in the Rosaceae family, commonly called Drummond's cinquefoil. It is native to North America, ranging from Alaska to California, where it grows in a wide variety of moist habitats. This taxon is best considered a species complex made up of many intergrading subspecies that readily hybridize with other members of the Potentilla genus. The species is highly variable: plants can be decumbent or erect, small and tufted or up to 60 centimeters tall, and range from hairless to woolly in texture. Its leaves are divided into multiple leaflets, which may have lobed or toothed margins. The inflorescence takes the form of a cyme that holds several flowers. Each flower produces a small corolla of yellow petals, with individual petals measuring between half a centimeter and one centimeter in length.
