About Potentilla caulescens L.

Potentilla caulescens L., commonly called short-stemmed cinquefoil, is a perennial herbaceous flowering plant that belongs to the rose family, Rosaceae. It is native to Europe, where it grows across the Alps, other southern European mountain ranges, and the Atlas Mountains of northern Africa. This species inhabits rocky terrain, often growing in rock crevices at elevations between 500 and 2000 meters. It reaches 10 to 30 centimeters in height and has woody stems. It blooms from June to September, producing flowers that measure 1 to 2.2 centimeters across.
