Potentilla aurea, commonly called golden cinquefoil, is a flowering plant species that belongs to the Rosaceae family. It is native to mountain regions of mainland Europe, and has been introduced to Turkey. Several cultivated varieties of this species are available commercially, including the cultivars 'Aurantiaca', 'Goldklumpen', and 'Plena'.
