About Potanthus confucius (C.Felder & R.Felder, 1862)

Potanthus confucius, commonly called the Chinese dart or Confucian dart, is a species of butterfly in the family Hesperiidae. Its confirmed distribution spans from Sri Lanka and India east to China and Japan, and south to Sumatra and Java in Indonesia. Museum specimens have been recorded as coming from Palawan in the Philippines, but this record is considered unreliable. The species has not been found in Borneo, which lies between the known range and Palawan, so the Palawan specimens are likely mislabeled or misidentified.
