Porphyrospiza carbonaria (d'Orbigny & Lafresnaye, 1837), commonly called the carbonated sierra finch or carbon sierra finch (alternatively classified as Rhopospina carbonaria), is a bird species belonging to the family Thraupidae. This species is endemic to Argentina. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and temperate grassland.
