About Polytremis pellucida (Murray, 1875)

Polytremis pellucida (Murray, 1875), the species described here, has a wingspan of approximately 30 millimetres, which equals 1.2 inches. The upperside of its forewings is dark brown, marked with a row of small white spots and other white markings. Its hindwings are also dark brown, and bear four white spots that range in shape from elongated to oval. This species occurs in eastern Asia, and can be found in both the Indomalayan realm and the Palearctic realm.
