Polyscias scutellaria (Burm.fil.) Fosberg, commonly known as shield aralia or plum aralia, is a tropical shrub or small tree that grows to a height of 2 to 6 meters. It is native to eastern Malesia and southwest Pacific islands, and is commonly cultivated in gardens. Its leaves and root can be used as an antiseptic and as a deodorant.
