Polysarcus denticauda is an insect species classified in the subfamily Phaneropterinae of the family Tettigoniidae. This species can be found in Spain, France, Germany, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, European Turkey, Switzerland, and Bulgaria. Its natural habitat consists of long grass meadows that have lush vegetation. These meadows must be mowed late in the growing season and receive only low levels of fertilization.
