Polygrammate is a moth genus in the family Noctuidae that contains only one species. This single species is Polygrammate hebraeicum, commonly called the Hebrew moth or simply the Hebrew. It is distributed in eastern regions of North America, ranging from Ontario in the north southward to Florida, and westward as far as Texas. Both the genus Polygrammate and the species Polygrammate hebraeicum were first described by Jacob Hübner in 1818. The wingspan of this moth measures 23 to 39 millimeters. Adult moths are active between May and August each year. The larvae of Polygrammate hebraeicum feed on black gum trees.
