About Pogogyne douglasii Benth.

Pogogyne douglasii Benth. is an aromatic annual herb. It grows a sturdy, erect stem that reaches a maximum height of around 40 centimeters. Its inflorescence forms a head-shaped cluster. Every individual flower in the cluster is accompanied by long, pointed sepals that are densely lined with long, straight, white hairs. Each flower is tubular with a lipped shape, measures 1 to 2 centimeters long, is mostly pinkish-purple, and has a white throat marked with purple spots; the throat sometimes also has yellow spots.
