Poecilimon ornatus (Schmidt, 1850), commonly called the ornate bright bush-cricket or ornate bush-cricket, is a species of bush cricket in the family Tettigoniidae, subfamily Phaneropterinae. This species is endemic to southern Europe, where it occurs in the Balkans, northeastern Italy, Slovenia, and southern Austria. It typically inhabits tall forbage, bushes, and open forests. Near its northern range limit, it can be found on warm montane grassland.
