Podocarpus acutifolius, commonly called needle-leaved tōtara, is a conifer species belonging to the family Podocarpaceae. It was first formally described by Thomas Kirk, and it is endemic to New Zealand. In New Zealand, this species is distributed across the South Island, ranging from northern Marlborough westward and extending south to southern Westland. Its native natural habitats are lowland forest, montane forest, and scrub.
