Plumbago pulchella Boiss. is a flowering plant species that belongs to the Plumbaginaceae family. Its common name is cola de iguana. This species is endemic to Mexico, and it is native to over 20 states within the country. An O-methylated anthocyanidin called pulchellidin can be found in this plant. It is used as a traditional medicinal plant across Mesoamerica, including by the Rarámuri people of northwestern Mexico. In the Mexican state of Michoacán, it is also used as a veterinary medicine.
