Pluchea carolinensis (Jacq.) G.Don is a plant species belonging to the genus Pluchea. It was first formally described by Scottish botanist George Don. This species is a shrub that can reach a maximum height of 2.5 meters, and bears large leaves that are longer than they are wide. Pluchea carolinensis is widespread across North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. It is also naturalized in Florida, Hawaii, several other Pacific islands, and Taiwan. The species is native to Aruba, where it holds legal protected status. It can grow in both wet and dry soils, and prefers full sun. It is commonly cultivated in gardens across many countries in South and Central America.
