Plectris aliena Chapin, 1934 is described as follows. Adult individuals of this species reach a body length between approximately 10.8 mm and 13.5 mm. Their dorsal side ranges in color from dark chestnut brown to yellowish brown, while their ventral body surface and legs are paler. The clypeus has coarse, dense punctures. The pronotum surface is punctured somewhat more finely, and much more sparsely, than the clypeus. The elytra bear four indistinct raised costae, their surfaces have fine, not very densely spaced punctures, and each puncture contains one scale-like hair.
