About Plebs eburnus (Keyserling, 1886)
Like other members of the genus Plebs, this species has a characteristic U-shaped white marking on the underside of its abdomen, with two additional white spots on either side of the spinnerets. Like most spider species, female Plebs eburnus are larger than males. Females reach roughly 8 millimeters in body length, while males only reach 5 millimeters. This species occurs in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory, and South Australia. It is rarely observed in Western Australia, which is not part of its typical range. The distribution of Plebs eburnus overlaps with the distribution of Plebs cyphoxis within South Australia.
